The Emory WorkLife Resource Center sponsors Emory’s Camp & Learning Expo each year in February. The event is free and hosts close to 100 different summer camps and academic programs. The annual event aims to assist working parents secure quality summer programming for their school-aged children.
Participating vendors are onsite and available to answer questions about their programs and
many of them offer employee discounts.
The event is open to employees and family members from Emory University, Emory Healthcare,
CDC, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Programs are invited to participate and vary in type of programming, location, fee structure and
age to meet the diverse needs of employee parents.
Participating vendors typically include arts, athletics, technology, environmental and academic
programs, as well as summer volunteer, counselor-in-training and part-time job opportunities.
Other participating programs include e4Health and Metro East Georgia Learning
Resources System (GLRS) and companies that offer test preparation, drivers training and
exchange student programs. Guests are permitted to bring their children and raffle prizes are
awarded throughout the event.
