Learn about some of the most exciting summer camp & learning programs that attended this year's Summer Camp & Learning Expo 2018 in the greater Atlanta area. The Emory WorkLife Resource Center does not endorse or recommend any particular summer program and encourages all parents to carefully evaluate any program they are considering for their child.


Atlanta Ballet




The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education, the official school of Atlanta Ballet, offers a variety of Summer Day Programs for ages 2 and up at its Buckhead and Virginia-Highland Centres that will keep your child active during the long summer months. No audition is required, so register your dancer today! Classes include Virginia-Highland and Buckhead Day Programs for ages 8+ (Monday-Friday, 9:30-4:00pm), Young Dancers Summer Experience for ages 5-7 (Monday-Friday, 10:00am-1:00pm), Creative Movement for ages 2-6 (one 45- to 60-minute class per week), and Summer Teen Ballet Class for ages 12-15 (Saturday, 12:30-2:00pm). ButterCup STEAM


We have a summer coding/robotics STEAM camp for girls ages 7-12. We will also have a Spring Break Camp (April 2 - 6). Our program is located at SAM Flax Art in Brookwood. We have scholarships available for low income students and sibling discounts.Our social media links are:







Camp Blue Ridge




Camp Blue Ridge is one of the most popular sleep away camps in the Southeast. We have a 2-week program for new campers and first time campers at a great discount June 10th - June 22nd.

Camp Dixie




Since 1914 Camp Dixie has been providing a unique summer experience for boys and girls 6 -15. Camp Dixie is a traditional coed camp located in the beautiful mountains of northeast Georgia with a limited enrollment. A complete range of traditional camp activities are offered and campers get to choose their activities throughout their 1,2,4,6 or 7 week stay. With our skill- based activity instruction, campers grow to appreciate their own abilities to be creative and imaginative.


Special evening and weekend programs offer a variety of social and team building activities – camp favorites are Counselor Hunt, Capture the Camp Flag, and Dinner Theater. Our caring staff is composed mainly of Dixie alumni who carry on the Dixie tradition of wanting to create the magic for new campers – of giving back - “The Dixie Way”. Forming life long friendships and developing an appreciation for the outdoors are just part of the Dixie experience. Camp offers weekly sessions beginning June 3 and running through July 28. Camp Flix


Camp Flix is a summer filmmaking camp for tweens and teens in Atlanta Georgia with two sessions held at Emory University (June 10-15, July 15-20). Club Scikidz


Exciting cams offered to children and teens, ages 4-15 in science and technology. The Emory Child Study Center is currently seeking families with children from infancy through 17 years old to participate in child development research studies. You and your child are invited to participate in engaging and active research studies on child development at Emory University. At the Emory Child Study Center, we study language, learning, memory, and how children understand space and numbers.

Girl Scouts of Atlanta Summer Camp


We have 240 wooded acres right outside the city center of Atlanta in the Mableton/Smyrna Ga area. We are a true camp complete with a lake for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards; archery; challenge course; zip line; giant swing; miles of hiking trails; arts and crafts facility; large swimming pool and climate controlled cabins and dining hall. During the summer we operate a premier day camp for girls in PreK -9th grade. Each day runs from 7:45am to 4:30pm with 3 activities each day and 1.5 hours of swimming. Cost includes lunch, two snacks, and a patch. Extended care, bus transportation, swim lessons and overnight experiences are also available.



Initiative for Women and Girls

Initiative for Women and Girls offers summer camps just for girls.  Without the pressure of convention or gender, girls are not limited and flourish in their own individual ways.


Packed with fun and flights of imagination, our summer camps offer girls a safe place to create, collaborate, lead, and take risks. Based on social emotional and inquiry learning methods, girls explore and express their perspectives and creativity through art, media, and technology.  


Our camps offer girls opportunities to develop their strengths, find their voices, and grow their capacity for self advocacy and self compassion.

Oak Tree Camps




Summer is a very special time when a child seeks to learn, explore and develop new skills, hobbies, and interests. Our program is specifically designed to meet the diverse and ever-expanding interests and recreational needs of our campers. Because our emphasis is on participation, personal achievement and skill attainment rather than on competition alone, campers of every age and skill level are made to feel comfortable and successful. Through the use of scheduled activity periods and structured electives, each camper can experience a well-rounded program that includes athletics, aquatics, creative arts and outdoor adventures. Our elective program allows each camper to have direct input into their daily schedule. During elective periods, campers may wish to try new activities, concentrate on their favorite ones or enhance their existing skills by participating in individualized instruction or clinics.

Paideia Summer Camp, June 11-July 13, offers weekly sessions available to ages 3 years old- grade 8. QTM Math Circle Camp



The QTM Math Circle is a three-week math summer camp at Emory designed to introduce high school students to the complex world of mathematics and its applications through quantitative analysis. We will offer courses in Combinatorics and Number Theory as well as a choice of electives such as Statistics or Coding.

Universal Tennis Academy in Atlanta is excited to offer summer tennis camps throughout Atlanta. UTA has trained all levels of players, from ALTA champions and NCAA champions to touring professionals in a fun, exciting and educational environment.
