We are proud to announce a back-up care pilot program that provides child or adult care when regular arrangements break down to graduate students. This two-year pilot program was developed in partnership with Bright Horizons and Emory’s WorkLife Resource Center, in response to a need that ranked high among graduate students in an earlier survey on dependent care needs.
Graduate students who have children or are taking care of adult family members – elderly parents, or perhaps a spouse or partner who needs care because of an illness or other situation – can turn to this program to arrange for care when their regular caregiving arrangements break down. Such break-downs can be very disruptive, and we hope this program will provide a valuable resources in helping graduate students minimize their impact in a safe, convenient and affordable way. We hope the two-year pilot period will lead to a lasting program that offers a viable and valuable service. Click here to find more details about the program
