Those of you that attended Emory’s Camp & Learning Expo 2011 may have noticed a new kid on the block hanging out with Emory’s Child Care Network. Legacy Academy is Emory’s newest network provider and they offer quality care in 7 locations within 25 miles of Emory’s main campus. They will also be including care at some of their locations outside of the state near some of Emory’s peer institutions including Duke University in effort to help some of Emory’s traveling faculty and physicians. Legacy will be offering 5% discount on tuition and a priority admission to all employed by Emory including Emory students. The newest member of the network brings in an additional 5 NAEYC accredited centers with a few of their schools offering private Kindergarten and serving children between 6 weeks to 12 years of age. All centers emphasize a self-proprietary curriculum that stresses character building, brain power, a monthly theme, foreign language and music. Each Legacy Academy provides its teachers with ongoing professional development and strives to meet NAEYC accreditation within three years of opening.
