Children with Special Needs

Having a baby is an overwhelming time to say the least, but learning that your baby (or child) has special needs may, for some, be more than overwhelming. Below are some resources to help you make a difference in the quality of life for you and your family.

Surround Yourself in Support

Reach out to your family and friends. Find a local support group for parents of children with special needs. Building relationships with others who have walked in your shoes helps you move forward and provide you with the emotional support and friendships you need at times. Metro-Atlanta is filled with exceptional resources and groups both online and face-to-face to help you. A great place to find out about groups like this are through the hospitals and treatment centers you are working with and exist in the community. Some additional ways to find such support can be found by Meeting Other Parents.
