The Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA) of Emory College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce our 2012 summer study abroad programs.
CIPA has been offering summer study abroad opportunities for more than 40 years. Study abroad can be a transformative life experience for students, and our programs offer courses for academic credit in a range of subjects around the world. Our goal is to provide a curriculum of outstanding academic quality for students who wish to study societies, cultures, languages, sciences, or other academic disciplines in an overseas context and location. The programs range between three and eight weeks throughout the summer, with most of the programs five to six weeks in length. The majority of the courses are taught by Emory faculty which provides students a wonderful opportunity to get to know faculty outside the traditional classroom setting, and students earn direct Emory credits and grades.
The program cost is inclusive of tuition, accommodations, some meals, supplemental study abroad insurance, on-site transportation, and cultural activities and field trips. Students currently enrolled at Emory or another college or university are eligible to apply for programs. Financial aid is available for qualified Emory students, and eligible Emory and non-Emory students may apply their Emory Courtesy Scholarship towards the tuition portion of the costs.
A complete list of 2012 programs can be found on our website at www.cipa.emory.edu. Applications are currently being accepted through our on-line system. The final deadline is March 1, but early application is strongly advised as some programs have an earlier deadline and many programs fill quickly.
