Work-Life on the Web

Today, we are all challenged with finding ways to manage our personal and work lives. Boundaries are often blurred and we face decisions about where, when and how to accomplish our To Do list.

The Emory WorkLife Resource Center provides faculty, staff and graduate students with programs and resources to help manage this often overwhelming challenge. Below are some resources we found on the web that may be useful to you:


SafeKids USA

Safe Kids USA is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations whose mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury, a leading killer of children 14 and under.

Emory University International Program

The International Program at Emory was developed because of the many international connections Emory University has world-wide. This website shows the research and projects that Emory University is a part of all around the world

United Way 2-1-1

United Way 2-1-1 links callers to counseling, job training, substance or domestic abuse and more. 2-1-1 also enables callers to find volunteering opportunities and ways to donate household and office items.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross provides two types of assistance after a disaster – hard and soft. Hard assistance provides material items and may include feeding, shelter, clean-up kits, comfort kits and financial assistance. Soft assistance minimizes immediate disaster-caused suffering through listening, guidance, advocacy, and counseling. They also offer the Restoring Family Links program.


The primary mission of the Federal Emergency Management Agency is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters, by leading and supporting the Nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.

SafeLink Wireless

SafeLink Wireless is a government supported program that provides a free cell phone and airtime each month for income-eligible customers.
