The Emory WorkLife Resource Center recommends you prepare a written proposal and discuss the arrangement with your manager. Since not all jobs are suitable for flexible work arrangements, department level approval is required.

The Emory WorkLife staff can provide you with guidance and coaching in developing a proposal or assistance with how to approach your manager. Ultimately, the decision whether to implement or continue an FWA remains the decision of your direct supervisor.
